Job Title: Official Development Assistance- Reporting Analyst

UNDP actively supports Jordan in achieving sustainable development, leading to transformative change and tangible improvements in people’s lives. Collaborating with the European Union, we aim to enhance the social and economic well-being of vulnerable refugees and host populations in Jordan, focusing on effective funding planning, coordination, and management at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC).
Position Purpose:
The ODA Reporting Analyst will conduct research on development and humanitarian funding and financing, enhance the reporting function at MoPIC, and strengthen ODA diplomacy and partnerships to align funding systems for better data collection, results, and impact measurement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct Research:
- Conduct ODA Research to enhance development assistance to Jordan and learn from best practices.
- Strengthen the reporting function at MoPIC as a source of information on foreign funding priorities, opportunities, flows, and future trends.
Fostering Partnerships:
- Foster partnerships between Jordan and the international community to establish effective models for aligning funding systems.
- Establish and coordinate strategic partnerships with donors, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
Analysis:
- Identify and analyze best practices and lessons learned in South-South Cooperation for Development.
- Monitor and report on economic policies related to refugees in foreign countries and provide advice on effective approaches for localization.
Knowledge Management:
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge products related to ODA and humanitarian financing.
- Provide training and capacity building to stakeholders on ODA-related topics and best practices.
Resource Mobilization:
- Contribute to the creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of resource mobilization.
- Analyze information on donors, prepare donor profiles and databases, and track and report on mobilized resources.

Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Advanced University degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, International Relations, Political Economy, International Development, or related fields, or
- Bachelorβs degree with an additional two years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- Up to two years (with a Masterβs degree) or minimum two years (with a Bachelorβs degree) of relevant experience in reporting on development and humanitarian aid official development assistance programs/strategies of major donor countries.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in conducting research.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Experience in computer usage and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
Desired Skills:
- Proven experience in conducting ODA Research and in funding and financing modalities for humanitarian and development aid for Jordan.
- Experience in aid finance forecasting.
- Experience in supporting South-South and Triangular cooperation and partnerships.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
Required Languages:
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
