Office/Unit/Project Description
UNDP’s project in Jordan focuses on enhancing the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable refugees and host populations in the country. This collaboration aims to reduce relative inequalities and strengthen institutional capacities at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) to manage humanitarian, development, and crisis response efforts efficiently. The project seeks to align funding management with national priorities, international commitments, and responses to the Syrian crisis, accelerating Jordan’s progress toward human and sustainable development.
Scope of Work
The ICT Associate will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives within MoPIC. They will support the integration of ICT solutions to streamline processes, enhance data management capabilities, and improve access to information. This position is essential for strengthening MoPIC’s technical infrastructure and digital capacity to effectively manage aid resources and support evidence-based decision-making.
The responsibilities of the ICT Associate include:
- Evaluate and assess current information and communication systems used by various units within MoPIC.
- Supervise the development of digital infrastructure, networks, databases, systems, and digital tools and platforms.
- Collaborate and cooperate with external companies involved in the development of new and upgraded systems.
- Provide ongoing technical follow-up and support for operationalized systems.
- Support the monitoring, maintenance, and training of digital solutions provided by the project.
Institutional Arrangement
The ICT Associate will work under the guidance of the Governance and Peace Pillar Team Leader and in collaboration with the project team at UNDP and MoPIC.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate should meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Completion of a secondary education is required, or a university degree in information technology, Computer Science, or other related field will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
- A minimum of seven (7) years (with a secondary school degree) or four (4) years (with a bachelorβs degree) of relevant experience in ICT systems development and support is required.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Desired Skills
In addition to the competencies covered, the following skills are desirable:
- Experience and strong knowledge of digital infrastructure and tools.
- Proven experience in collaborating with external development partners.
- Proficiency in programming languages, database management, and network administration.
