Resource Mobilization Expert
Location: Homebased with field work, Nigeria
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Resource Mobilization Consultant/Expert to support our efforts in mobilizing resources for gender equality initiatives in Nigeria. The consultant will play a crucial role in identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and fostering partnerships with donors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive research on potential donors and funding sources aligned with UN Women’s priorities in Nigeria.
- Develop high-quality project proposals, concept notes, and funding requests in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders to enhance resource mobilization efforts.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on resource mobilization strategies and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate resource mobilization activities, preparing reports and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in International Development, Gender Studies, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, or donor relations, preferably in the context of gender equality or development.
- Proven track record in successfully securing funding from diverse donors, including governments, foundations, and multilateral organizations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex information into compelling proposals and presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and networks.
