Job Description:
UNFPA Uzbekistan is actively involved in the UNAIDS working group and contributes to the UBRAF programme framework. Recently, UNFPA launched the Vision 2030 MCH project aimed at enhancing perinatal care nationwide. As part of this initiative, there is a need to assess the quality and accessibility of perinatal services for HIV-positive pregnant women and women in labor.
Purpose of the Consultancy:
The consultant will lead a survey among medical practitioners and pregnant women, analyzing data to develop recommendations for improving perinatal and maternal health services.
Scope of Work:
- Familiarization: Understand project objectives and related documents.
- Inception Report: Develop a methodology for the survey.
- Pilot Protocol: Design and test the questionnaire.
- Questionnaire Development: Create culturally relevant survey tools.
- Training: Capacity-building for national consultants on survey administration and data management.
- Data Analysis: Interpret findings and propose recommendations.
- Reporting: Produce comprehensive reports with actionable steps.
Requirements:
- Master’s in health research, sociology, or related fields.
- 5 years’ experience in health research and analysis.
- Proficiency in English and Russian.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with SPSS or similar software.
