About the Internship
Position: Intern in “Empowering Lives through Livestock-Hope and Prosperity” Project
Project Location: Durres Area Program
The “Empowering Lives through Livestock-Hope and Prosperity” project is an initiative aimed at bolstering food security and promoting sustainable livelihoods in the Durres municipality. By improving livestock production and enhancing market access, the project seeks to uplift disadvantaged households, fostering resilience and prosperity.
Job Purpose
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to World Vision Albania’s mission, focusing on enhancing child wellbeing through community collaboration. Interns will engage directly with local stakeholders, supporting the seamless execution of project activities that aim to strengthen food security and livelihood sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you will play a vital role in the project’s success by:
- Supporting Project Activities: Collaborate with the project team to implement activities effectively, ensuring alignment with the project’s goals. Your role will involve direct engagement in field activities, providing hands-on support to ensure that each phase of the project is executed efficiently.
- Community Collaboration: Work closely with community stakeholders and partners, fostering a cooperative environment for the project’s field activities. This collaboration will be crucial in identifying community needs and tailoring project activities to meet these needs effectively.
- Issue Reporting: Communicate any challenges or issues encountered during project implementation to the AP Programme Manager, offering potential solutions. This proactive approach will help in swiftly addressing any roadblocks, ensuring the project’s smooth progression.
- Administrative Support: Provide operational and administrative assistance to the Durres AP team, ensuring activities are timely and meet agency standards. Your support will be critical in maintaining the project’s administrative efficiency, from documentation to logistical arrangements.
- Documentation: Contribute to the meticulous documentation of project activities, adhering to World Vision Albania’s procedures and donor guidelines. Accurate documentation is essential for tracking progress, evaluating outcomes, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Mission Communication: Effectively communicate World Vision’s mission, vision, values, and approach to work in a contextually appropriate manner. Your role as an intern will also involve being an ambassador for World Vision, ensuring that the organization’s mission is well represented in all interactions.

Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, veterinary sciences, development, economics, business, or related disciplines. This academic foundation will provide the necessary knowledge to engage with the project’s technical aspects effectively.
