Operations Analyst (Home-Based) Role at UNDP – Global Peacebuilding Opportunity

Introduction to UNDP and Its Global Mission
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) stands at the forefront of sustainable development within the UN system, working in over 170 countries to implement innovative solutions for the world’s most pressing challenges. UNDP’s mission is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to create equitable, inclusive, and resilient societies worldwide. UNDP acts as a bridge between global policy perspectives and local action, supporting countries to transform their development strategies through technical expertise, financial support, and strategic partnerships.
A central component of UNDP’s strategy is its commitment to building resilience in countries facing crises or in post-crisis recovery. The Crisis Bureau within UNDP works to help countries better prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises, thereby safeguarding progress towards the SDGs. This includes developing comprehensive solutions to prevent conflict, promote peace, and ensure good governance during crises, with a focus on long-term resilience rather than temporary aid responses.
The Local Action program, a key initiative under the UNDP’s Governance, Rule of Law, and Peacebuilding (GRP) Hub, serves as a highly dynamic platform to ensure that global expertise is translated into action at the local level. By integrating expertise across governance, rule of law, human rights, and peacebuilding, Local Action ensures that development projects not only address immediate crises but also lay the groundwork for long-term peace and sustainable development.
The Operations Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring that Local Action projects are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full alignment with UNDP’s operational standards. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the management of financial resources, operational processes, and ensuring that the Local Action team’s work delivers high-impact results at the community level.
