About the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Project
The a2i Project is an ambitious initiative designed to foster a citizen-centric digital transformation in Bangladesh. Aligned with the Government of Bangladesh’s digital innovation strategy, the project aims to enhance public service delivery, financial inclusion, and digital governance.
This project focuses on three key areas:
- Institutionalizing public service innovation – Streamlining service delivery through digital platforms.
- Catalyzing digital financial services & fintech innovations – Promoting financial inclusion and modern payment systems.
- Fostering public-private partnerships – Creating synergies between government agencies and private sector innovators.
As the International Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing these transformative initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of the International Project Manager
Strategic Leadership & Project Management
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the a2i project, aligning with national priorities and UNDP goals.
- Oversee project implementation, including budgeting, HR, procurement, and policy formulation.
- Ensure high-quality management of project life cycles while adhering to UNDP’s digital standards.
- Embed real-time data analytics and feedback loops to improve decision-making and project impact.
Building & Managing Strategic Partnerships
- Foster collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, the private sector, and development partners.
- Lead public-private partnership initiatives to scale innovative digital solutions.
- Represent the project in national and international forums, advocating for sustainable digital transformation.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Assessment
- Establish measurable KPIs to track progress and effectiveness of project initiatives.
- Ensure timely reporting to UNDP, donors, and government stakeholders.
- Utilize advanced data analytics to assess the project’s impact and make data-driven recommendations.
Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building
- Organize trainings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions for government officials and private sector stakeholders.
- Develop a knowledge repository that documents best practices and lessons learned.
- Advocate for open-source digital public goods that can be replicated globally.
Sustainability & Resource Mobilization
- Develop strategies to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of digital solutions.
- Engage with international donors, multilateral institutions, and the private sector to secure funding.
- Advocate for policy frameworks that support sustainable digital transformation.
What Makes You a Perfect Fit?
Essential Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- OR a Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of leadership experience in project management, governance, and digital transformation.
- Proven experience in digital public infrastructure, fintech, and e-governance.
- Prior experience working with UN agencies, governments, NGOs, or multilateral institutions.
- Strong resource mobilization skills and familiarity with international funding mechanisms.
- Expertise in data privacy, cybersecurity, and digital ethics.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of project management software, cloud-based collaboration tools, and digital system architecture.
- Familiarity with AI-driven governance models and blockchain-based digital identity solutions is a plus.
