Tasks

Ellison Scholars will:

Enroll in undergraduate studies at the University of Oxford in any field of their choosing.
Participate in 10-week interdisciplinary summer internships led by EIT between academic years.
Engage in research and innovation projects aligned with EIT’s focus areas, known as the “Humane Endeavours”:
- Health and Medical Science
- Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture
- Clean Energy and Climate Change
- Government Innovation in the Era of AI
Collaborate with global experts, researchers, and fellow scholars.
Attend special seminars, innovation labs, and leadership development activities coordinated by EIT.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

Applicants must:

Meet the University of Oxford’s entry requirements for their chosen undergraduate course.
Possess or be on track to complete a recognized high school diploma or certificate that Oxford accepts.
Achieve or be on course to achieve the minimum required grades for their selected degree.
Fulfill the English language proficiency requirements set by the University of Oxford.

Experience

While no formal experience is required, the programme seeks applicants who:

Programme Timeline

September – October 2025: Semi-finalists apply through Oxford’s official undergraduate admissions process.
January – February 2026: Semi-finalists who gain Oxford admission progress to final interviews with EIT.
March – April 2026: Final decisions are announced. Scholars receive onboarding support.
October 2026: Scholars begin their Oxford studies and formally start their engagement with EIT.
