🌍 Background & Program Overview
SUNx Malta, in partnership with Malta’s Ministry for Tourism and Consumer Protection and the Institute of Tourism Studies, is offering 50 fully funded scholarships for the Climate Friendly Travel Diploma (CFT Diploma). These scholarships are open to passionate individuals from Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and other developing nations.
The program aims to train the next generation of Climate Friendly Travel Champions—young professionals who will help transform the tourism sector by integrating climate action, sustainable development, and green policy frameworks at the community and national levels.
This globally recognized diploma is especially important at a time when the travel and tourism sector must shift urgently toward more climate-responsible practices, in line with the Paris Climate Agreement and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
🧭 Program Structure & Learning Themes
The diploma curriculum offers both theoretical knowledge and practical training, ensuring graduates can apply their learning in real-world settings. It emphasizes:

Green tourism development and international frameworks like the EU Green Deal.
