Background & Job Description

📌 Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD). This article is only intended to inform interested experts of the opportunity.

Millions face forced displacement due to conflict, instability, and persecution. Among them are highly skilled individuals—scientists, engineers, and researchers—whose careers are abruptly disrupted. Displaced women scientists face compounded gender-based barriers and have limited access to support systems that enable them to continue scientific work.

To address this gap, OWSD has launched a research initiative to understand and amplify the experiences of displaced women in STEM. This home-based consultancy will last approximately six months and aims to produce insights that will inform OWSD’s strategies, global advocacy, and policy recommendations for institutional stakeholders.
