The Program Coordinator will play a vital role in helping to plan, organize, and execute community-based programs, while providing administrative and logistical support to the Director of Programming and Engagement. This is a multifaceted position blending programming, community engagement, operations, and communications.

Tasks
As the Program Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

Program Support: Assisting in the planning, development, and delivery of Gathering Ground programs, workshops, and community events.

Operations & Administration: Managing schedules, communications, and logistical needs to ensure smooth program execution.

Partner Engagement: Supporting outreach and relationship-building with community partners, nonprofits, funders, and other stakeholders.

Communications: Assisting with the preparation of program materials, email updates, and digital communications to participants and partners.

Event Coordination: Helping with in-person and virtual event logistics, including registrations, venue arrangements, and follow-up.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Supporting data collection, program tracking, and reporting to help measure the impact of programs.

Team Collaboration: Working closely with the Director of Programming and Engagement and other team members to ensure alignment with Gathering Groundβs mission and strategy.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
Education & Certification

A bachelorβs degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, Community Development, or related area. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
Experience
-
Prior experience in program coordination, community engagement, or nonprofit administration.

Strong background in event planning, communications, or partnership development preferred.

Experience working in hybrid or remote settings and the ability to adapt to both in-person and digital environments.
Skills

Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency with common software tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.
