The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) has announced a temporary job vacancy for the role of Programme Management Assistant (G4), to be based in Santiago, Chile.

Tasks
Under the supervision of the Director of the Division and Legal Officer, the selected candidate will undertake a wide range of administrative and coordination duties, including:
πΉ Project & Administrative Support

Perform day-to-day administrative tasks to facilitate effective project implementation.

Organize documentation, maintain project timelines, and assist in reporting.
πΉ Consultant Management

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and payment processing for consultants and contractors.

Coordinate with HR and finance departments for compliance and follow-up.
πΉ Event Planning & Coordination

Support logistics for meetings, conferences, and seminars.

Arrange travel for staff, experts, and participants.

Oversee venue, translation, and presentation material preparation.

Compile background materials, format documents, and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.

Handle translations and manage document publication as needed.
πΉ Financial Tracking & Reporting

Use Umoja (SAP) to track expenditures and funding allocations.

Generate budget reports and assist with financial audits.
πΉ Communication & Correspondence

Draft official letters, meeting invitations, reports, and email responses.

Maintain calendars, meeting schedules, and deadlines for the Secretariat team.
These duties contribute directly to the UNβs sustainability and transparency efforts through the EscazΓΊ Agreement.
Qualifications
π Education & Certification

Completion of high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Coursework or certifications in law, public administration, or project management are considered an asset.
πΌ Professional Experience

A minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in project or program administration is required.

The experience requirement is reduced to 1 year for applicants with a first-level university degree (bachelorβs or higher).

Prior work in an international organization and document management is essential.

Familiarity with Umoja (SAP ERP) or similar enterprise systems is desirable.

Skills in data analytics or GDoc are also considered advantageous.
