1. Programme Officer (P-3)

  • Division: Climate Finance Subdivision, Means of Implementation Division

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement climate finance strategies to support member countries in their climate action plans.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of climate finance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders to mobilize financial resources for climate projects.
  • Qualifications:
  • Advanced university degree in Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Finance, or related fields.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in climate finance or related areas.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

2. Manager (P-5)

  • Division: Review Subdivision, Adaptation Division
  • Application Period: 19 Jul – 18 Aug

  • Responsibilities:
  • Lead the review and evaluation of national adaptation plans and strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance to member states on best practices in climate adaptation.
  • Oversee the implementation of adaptation projects and ensure compliance with UNFCCC standards.
  • Qualifications:
  • Advanced university degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in climate adaptation and policy development.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

3. Manager (P-5)

  • Division: Vulnerability Subdivision, Adaptation Division

  • Assess the vulnerability of ecosystems and communities to climate change.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience.

  • Qualifications:
  • Advanced university degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Sociology, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience in vulnerability assessment and climate risk management.

4. Associate Programme Management Officer (P-2)

  • Division: Climate Finance Subdivision, Means of Implementation Division

  • Support the planning and execution of climate finance projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to climate finance activities.

  • At least two years of professional experience in project management or finance.
