YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE:
As a VAT Expert integrated into the ATAF team, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of VAT systems across member countries. Your tasks will include:
- Development of Country Profiles for ATAF Members:
- Compile comprehensive profiles of ATAF member countries focusing on their VAT systems.
- Analyze the existing VAT structures, policies, and practices in these countries.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) related to VAT administration.
- Regularly update these profiles to reflect changes in VAT laws and practices.
- Informing and Shaping ATAF Interventions:
- Engage with various stakeholders in national, regional, or international VAT forums.
- Provide expert insights and recommendations to shape ATAF’s VAT-related interventions.
- Develop strategies to enhance cooperation and knowledge sharing among member countries.
- Represent ATAF in high-level discussions and forums to advocate for improved VAT practices.
- Development and Procurement of Technical Material:
- Create and procure technical materials necessary for VAT-related interventions.

- Participation in Capacity Building Activities:
