Role Overview

The MedOps Cell Manager is responsible for transforming MSF Ubuntu’s operational vision into high-quality, accountable, and community-centred humanitarian action.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee strategic planning, emergency response, operational performance, resource allocation, and programme leadership across assigned countries and humanitarian portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operational Leadership

  • Lead country and regional operational strategies
  • Develop and implement multi-year humanitarian plans
  • Ensure alignment with MSF Ubuntu’s mission and principles

Community-Centred Programming

  • Promote community leadership in programme design
  • Ensure people-centred healthcare delivery
  • Strengthen accountability to affected populations

Emergency Response Management

  • Lead emergency preparedness initiatives
  • Coordinate rapid humanitarian responses
  • Support crisis management and operational decision-making

Security and Risk Management

  • Oversee security planning and access management

Programme Quality Assurance

Required Qualifications
